Enabling the passphrase feature on your Trezor
A handy guide for using the passphrase functionality on your Trezor One or Model T

If you already have an initialized, PIN-protected[LINK]
Trezor device, enabling the passphrase feature consists of a few straightforward steps.
Before you begin make sure you have a safe, offline backup of your recovery seed
Connect & unlock your Trezor
First, you must connect your Trezor device (USB cable provided) and unlock it (using your PIN). This can be done using either the Trezor Suite application installed on your computer, or via the Trezor Suite for web directly in your browser:

Once connected and unlocked, you will see the 'Dashboard' view in Trezor Suite:

Enable passphrase encryption
Once your Trezor is connected and unlocked, you need to access the device Settings by clicking on the 'gear' icon ⚙️ located in the top right-hand corner of the screen:

Reconnect your device
Once you have enabled the passphrase feature, you must then reconnect your device:
Trezor Model T: the device will ask you to choose between entering your passphrase via the device touchscreen or via the web browser
Trezor Model One: you will be asked to type your passphrase in the web browser
